Taken in Fall River, Mass after the war.

This image of an artillery company grade officer of artillery is wearing his full dress uniform, including his sword, and gauntlets.  He also holds a small pair of binoculars in his right hand.

The mount is a light yellow color of glossy stock, and although I did not look up the photographer, I feel certain it is from the post war era, and no later than 1872.

The photographer is Gay’s Gallery of Art, Fall River, Mass.

Very good quality images, with some trimming at the bottom of the mount.
