Possibly by Richardson, Lima.
First of all , I have no idea how to tell a middle class individual in Peru in the mid 19th Century, but the hint in pencil in the back was there when I got this, and I’m going with it!
Taken in a studio setting, with a possible identification as to the photographer being “Richardson, Galle de Ica, Lima.” This id was done by a collector/dealer friend who’s experience I trust, but regardless, the image can stand alone.
The woman does look very upscale in western dress, not the typical local apparel.
Probably not a great deal of photographic images originating from Peru in this mid 19th C, and probably scarce at least.
Very good image quality.
