Civil War Era Washington Pitcher 1

The pitcher is 8” high, with the transfers identical on each side. All black with the Old Glory and the Liberty Caps in Red and Blue on the white porcelain. Normal crazing of the glaze overall, with a small hairline crack on bottom, another short (1 ½”) extending down from rim near left side of handle. Some staining under glaze, some wear to handle. Overall a very desirable piece from the Civil War period, with “The Union it Must And Shall Be Preserved,” in the banner below the vignette of Washington.
