California National Guard unit inspection layout guide C- 1912.
This post card sized inspection layout diagram appears to be around the 1912 period. I am assuming this layout of uniform and equipment was done on a bunk or cot, showing ammo belt with suspenders, mess gear, 1885 pattern canteen, 1898 haversack, toiletry kit, socks, garrison belt (1902- leather) with 1905 bayonet & scabbard, McKeever cartridge box, shelter half, tent poles and pegs, rifle tools?, dog tags, straps for unit marked shelter half, 1912 service dress cap, and campaign hat with the “Montana Peak,” on presumably a blanket.
The reverse side is plain.
Condition is fine.
143rd Field Artillery was part of the California National Guard.
A neat piece.
