1825-30’s Massachusetts Militia Shako Plate.
Copper stamped plate, 4.5 inches high, featuring the Massachusetts State seal (Chief Massasoit). One of the metal loops for affixing to the shako is missing and the other is loose. The original plume socket is still there and holding firm.
Nice pleasing patina, with some dings, ripples. Still quite usable for that shako without a plate.
