1882 Pattern New York State Medical Department Shoulder Knots.

A fine quality pair marked with maker’s name, C.H. McKenney & Co., New York. The “M.D.” letters in old English script and 1st Lieutenant’s rank are embroidered silver bullion, on a dark blue wool background as prescribed in the 1882 U.S. Uniform Regulations.  The buttons are New York State staff.  Attached are the original shoulder loops for mounting the knots.

Fine + condition with one having some moth holes.  Underside wool shows some small moth holes as well. A nice desirable set of knots.
