A super example in gilt for wear on the undress coat from 1902-05.
This 1902 pattern Coast Artillery Corps officer’s collar insignia was worn until 1905. The federal shield represents the insignia for the regimental adjutant. How the “regimental” terminology would apply, I’m not sure, since the CAC was organized by companies. The insignia is unmarked, and is a super example of this type for a short lived period of use.
Fine- excellent condition with minor tarnish in the area of period soldering.
