A fine pair of cuff insignia for the full dress uniform.
This pair of bullion insignia for a officer of the 1st Cavalry, was worn on the cuff of the full dress uniform from 1902- 1912 era. Bullion insignia was worn on the cuff, as well as metal insignia into the 30’s but the style suggests this earlier period of use.
The hilt and branches on the quard are quite dramatic in fashion, yet very appealing. Embroidered on black wool.
Obviously, these are removed with the change of assignment to a new regiment.
Very good- fine condition, with just age toning to the bullion.
