Just about the best condition one could hope for can be found in this 1902-1923 officer’s service dress cap eagle, made by J.R. Gaunt Sons Ltd; marked, “J.R.G.& S Ltd. (with griffin logo),” with the original thumb nut.
52mm high.
Mint! Assuming there has to be some flaw in the finish, but unable to see any, I am most comfortable to grading it so.
