Description

Wanted for the Collection, anything related to the 18th U.S. Infantry, from 1861 to 1870 (or into the mid 1870s).

This would also include:

• 2nd U.S. Cavalry (garrisoned with the 18th in the early days of the Indian Wars on the Plains).

• 27th U.S. Infantry (the 2nd Battalion of the 18th Infantry after 1866).

• 36th U.S. Infantry (the 3rd Battalion of the 18th Infantry after 1866).

• Cartridges, (fully packed) for the .50/70 Benet Primed metallic cartridge).

• Cartridge boxes (Pattern 1861, modified for use with the 2nd Allin Conversion Springfield Rifle).

• Other modified equipment and uniforms.

• Any other related items from this era, during the Civil War -Indian Wars, to include Native American artifacts related to the material sought).
