Description
The 200th Coast Artillery was originally the 111th Cavalry with HQ in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and was converted to coast aritllery in April of 1940. Many of the personnel were Spanish speaking and were chosen to go to defend the Philippine Islands, arriving there in the summer of 1941. The provided anti-aircraft defenses for Clark Field, and Fort Stotsenburg. They surrender on April 9th, 1942 to the Japanese 14th Army.
This insignia has no maker markings. It is screw back.
