.50 Caliber Smith Rubber Cartridge Found At Camp Stanley, Near Murfreesboro, TN. The cartridge was found in a trash pit near that camp. The rubber section is very brittle and has some small loose pieces broken off of an already repaired casing.  Still a very scarce piece, particularly found in a Civil War camp site.

Measures about an inch and a half.
