The unit was re-designated (originally the 975th FA Bn inactivated 1946) the 510th FA Bn in Austria in 1949, and again re-designated the 510th FA Rocket Bn, in Italy 1956 to inactivation June 1958.

The banner is made of wool body, with domed bullion thread used on insignia; bullion fringe, and two split grommets for cord attachment.

Two Sided.

Body is 8 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches, overall 11 1/4 inches.

There is some minor wear in some places and some mothing, but minimal.

Bullion work is very nice quality.  A great decorative piece made in post WWII occupation.
