Italian Campaign issued “Proclamation No. 1” is ordered by General H. R. Alexander, General Officer Commanding the Allied Forces and Military Governor in the Mediterranean Theater.
The dual language broadside was a template that would be used all around occupied Italy as it addressed, “To the people of ___” and “to occupy the island of ___” and then lays out 8 articles/expectations of the administration of the territory during occupation.
At the bottom, “Dated ___ 1943″ below General Alexander’s name.
The document is in Fine condition overall. A used and original WWII Poster.

It is rolled and has lots of creasing from being rolled and flattened, it has some small tears on the left and right edges, and shows very little fading or soiling.
It measures approximately 19.25″ x 27.25”.
