A super piece with a bold, applied quartermasters insignia with early locking style catch.
Bailey, Banks, & Biddle (Philadelphia), Pattern 1905 Coast Artillery Corps Quartermaster Officer’s Insignia worn on the undress uniform collar. Adopted in 1905 and worn through WWI into the early 1920’s. The quartermaster insignia is a bit bigger than other examples in this period, but then BB& B, was a quality jeweler/ insignia firm that produced high quality items for officer’s who wanted the best.
Marked, “BB& B. / BRONZE.” Has the early style locking catch, usually only seen on the higher quality insignia.
