Description
In 1915 the army changed the crossed revolvers to the M1911 Colt ACP.
Rock Island Arsenal made the pistols on wreaths in a one piece mold.
Bailey Banks & Biddle, being the quality makers they are, applied the pistols onto the wreath, fusing the two parts finely.
The reverse is marked “BB&B”/ STERLING.
A locking rings for the pin bar places this badge in the post WWI era.
The condition is excellent with the silver toning like that on coinage that has been untouched, with the barrels of the pistols taking on a blue patina.
A super piece, seldom encountered.
