This Bill of Lading was issued by Simmons & Leadbeater, Forwarding & Commission Merchants, St. Louis.  shipped on board the steam boat Omaha, to the port of Bethlehem, Iowa. The shipment contained a case of instruments, and a box of machinery.

Dated July 10, 1858 and printed on light blue paper.  A great document in the age of steamboats on the Missouri River that supplied wagon trains west, new communities growing along the river from Oklahoma to the Dakota Territories and beyond.

Fine condition, some light toning, and a tear in the fold about 1 inch in from right side.

Size is 10 1/2 x 14 approximately.
