Not named, but an old period inscription on back reads this soldier was QM Sgt. for the 22nd NY.
A super looking image with this NCO wearing his dismounted overcoat, NCO belt rig with sword, and gauntlets; one mimicking Napoleon.
The photo was taken by Isaac S. Lachman, Philadelphia, and the period pencil inscription on the reverse reads, “Regimental Qtr. Mtr. Sergt. Co. D, 22nd N.Y. Inf.” (that is what I see anyway).
Revenue stamped with photographer’s initials.
Very good condition with slightly clipped corners.
From the Michael McAfee Collection.
