CDV – Unidentified 1st Lieutenant From Purnell’s Legion Md Infantry. This came out of an album of Purnell’s Legion, Maryland Infantry.

The unit was organized in late 1861, and fought in several hard engagements, with veteran vols. amalgamated into the 1st Maryland Infantry in 1864.
