Non U.S. regulation chevron for a state artillery unit.
This single artillery chevron is made of a ribbed wool tape applied to a dark blue/ black wool backing. The stripes were first tacked down at first for placement, and then machine sewn to the background. I have no information what region /state this was originally acquired from.
Some moth nips alone the background edges,
6.5 inches widest (point of stripe to other).
From the Robert Borrell Artillery Collection.
