Description
Possibly a unique 8th Air Force Patch made in England during WWII, with hand embroidered time piece numerals sewn to circumference of the edge. Whether this was one man’s fancy or something done for an entire crew or unit I don’t know.
Buddy Holly came up with the song “Rock around the Clock” in the early 50’s, but surely the term existed prior to that hit song coming out.
A most interesting variant on a large English made patch. 2 3/4 inches high.
Some light staining, otherwise in fine condition.
USPS Priority $4.
