A scarce Italian made tab of embroidered silk in the colors of the Chemical Corps.
Out of stock
What a quality piece of Italian produced insignia for the 84th Chemical Mortar Bn, made in medium blue and yellow silk (the colors of the Chemical Corps). Despite this having been worn on uniform, its condition is outstanding, and has some of the original sew-on threads still in place.
This unit entered combat in September of 1943 at Salerno, Italy, and saw their last day of combat at Lake Garda, in May of 1945. The battalion was deactivated at Rome in September of 1945.
Approximately 4.5 inches.
A very scarce tab for a unit that saw extremely hard service in the Italian Campaign.
