Advertises the manufacturing of corps badges, rank badges, and fine presentation medals, etc., etc.
Joseph A. Noel, Editor and Publisher of the “Grand Army Gazette and National Guardsman,”, also had printed on the front and back of his rather small card for all the business he wished to do, steel engraving of the Battle of Gettysburg. The card measures a whopping 1 5/8 x 3 3/8, and has a G.A.R. membership badge on the front with his name properly centered, with a book worth of information on the reverse; “We also Manufacture all kinds of Corps Badges, G.A.R. Rank Badges, Fine Presentation Medals and all other kinds of Society Medals and Badges at Low Rates…….G.A.R. Caps, Hats, on and on….G.A.R. Visiting Cards……(and) GRAND ARMY GAZETTE AND NATIONAL GUARDSMAN is $1 per year in advance,” and more.
Very slight soiling really not worth mentioning (but I did). I would think a scarce and desirable card for this enterprising veteran/businessman.
