Description
This lovely Hampden Watch Co., from Canton, Ohio was made in 1901. The SN – 1,607,364. It is a 17 Jewel and is 16 Size. No cracks or chips on the dial or on the second-hand dial. Second hand dial is set-in. This watch has a silveroid case.
A lovely face with black Roman Numerals and the seconds dial around the edge of the face is in red. A nice contrast.
We purchased a large lot of pocket watches many years ago and are now putting a few up for sale. Some are all original, others may have had work done to them.
We are not watchmakers and do not know how to repair them. There are no etchings inside the backing to indicate repair info.
There are some chips, wear, use, silveroid removal dings to the case – see photo details, and there may be some remnant of a prior price sticker on the back (not our sticker, I removed it as best as I was able).
Hampden Watch Company was well know as one of the reliable watches. And there are several others in that list too!
