A well toned pair of Lt. Colonel’s shoulder straps worn circa 1870’s -1880 (more to the later part of this period). High relief oak leaves on medium blue wool background, the color for infantry until 1880 when the infantry changed to white from 1880 to 1902.

These show wear and toning overall, backed in leather, and showing dryness with a good deal of leather loss. Some of the wire on the outer border showing some small areas of pulling away.

Still a nice respectable pair, and in a fairly high rank and harder to find in this era.

4 inches in length.
