G.A.R. miniature captain shoulder strap made of bullion with “T” bar pin.
Infantry Captains Miniature Shoulder Strap In Bullion, most likely a preferred quality example to be worn on a membership badge, ribbon, or uniform. There is a slight possibility that it could have been worn on a shirt during the Civil War? I only say this because of the construction with the bullion and the infantry blue wool.
Where or when ever it was produced, it has the 19th Century look, and is what it is.
Some wear to the blue wool center, bullion has toned to a darker color, and the catch on back has broken off, but in fine condition otherwise.
Neat little piece.
