This Jacket tab was in-country made for soldier in the 44th Artillery; 12 inches long! Mid 1960s.
Korean in-country made patch / tab for wear presumably on the back of field jacket for this Sentry Dog Handler. The length is 12 inches and is fully embroidered on dark maroon cotton. Black lettering, and gold edging. The backing appears to have been plasticized, or coated with a substance that looks similar.
This unit, Battery “A,” 4th Missile Battalion, 44th Artillery, 38th Artillery Brigade was deployed to South Korea in 1963, and redesignated in 1971 as the 44th ADA. These missile Bn’s were deactivated and reformed in other units.
Condition is fine. with light wear overall.
