Korean War Era Identified Captain’s Tan Cover

Korean War Era Identified Captain’s Tan Cover. I recently purchased this hat, knowing the collector well, and he had placed a hand written short bio on this captain’s cover (see photo section).  Captain Clyde Marcus Jenson, a line officer in the Navy from 1925 to 1955.

The cap is in magnificent condition, with the “scrambled eggs applied to black wool, and the cap eagle done in fine bullion work using gold and silver.  The cover is waterproof material.  Sold through the Frank Thomas Co. Inc. Norfolk, Va., Cavalier brand marked on the leather sweatband.  Size approximately 7.
