Description
Late Indian Wars -Spanish War Infantry Colonel’s Shoulder Straps. Made by W.A. Raymold Military & Society Goods, N.Y. City, with their company labels on each strap. Nicely raised silver bullion eagles on the regulation white infantry wool ground.
The silver bullion is both bright with some age toning. Gilt twisted wire is used to embellish the gilt bullion borders. Some light stain to one strap. One section of the gilt wire border was caught on something, creating a pull.
Very respectable pair of shoulder insignia.
The white color was used by the Regular Army until 1902, then returning to the sky blue color.
Fine condition.
