This pocket map was produced by Matthews & Northrup Co., Buffalo, for The Plant System, who were in the business of providing railway, steamer, and steamship connections. There pocket map shows locations in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and the West Indies on one side of the map, with the eastern part of the U.S., Philippine Islands, Tampa, Florida (showing location of Army camps), etc.

The map is 16 x 20 inches, and was once glued to the inside of the illustrated cover. Condition is excellent.

This was taken from a 5th Pennsylvania Volunteers grouping; the soldier being Corporal Edmond B. Barnett, who had a USWV camp named for him in his hometown of Somerset, Pa.  (I have included a photo of him here, and came from a book, so not included with the lot).

Great for framing.
