This is a Pilgrim Century deed dated 1711, and pertains to the sale of land in Swansea, Mass from Samuel Lynde of Boston, to Hezikiah Luther of Swansea. Although an early deed for what is found these days, the importance here is the number of early autographs of Boston Merchant, etc. Some of the names are: Jeremiah Dummer, the Silversmith; Samuel Lynde,Jon. Valentine, Merchants from wealth families in Boston, and involved in City government.  John Cary as the recorder of the deed was another early Massachusetts Bay Colony name going back to the Plymouth Colony. More research would bring out more interesting details.

It is interesting to note that Samuel Lynde’s wife Mariana are named on the deed, and a seal was provided for her signature, but she never signed.

Condition is fine with some minor wrinkling, small stains and soiling, very presentable.
