Assmann & Sohn marked (“A” (logo) / 107″) colonel’s pair of eagle rank insignia.
Assmann & Sohn were makers of German insignia during WWII, and continued to produce insignia for occupation forces in German for some time after. These colonel’s eagles are simply marked, “A” (logo) / 107.” The style of the eagle is very similar to a number of U.S. makers. These may date into the 50’s; I say that because I don’t know how long they worked. Although not marked silver, they either are silver or heavy plated.
Both are in great condition, marked identically, and have the same pin style common to German made insignia.
39mm wing span.
Excellent conditioned pair.
