Unused pair of bullion embroidered wing and prop insignia on cotton made by GEMSCO.
Found in it’s original GEMSCO wrapper is this pair of officer’s label insignia for the cotton service dress uniform. The Air Corps wing and prop are finely embroidered with gold and silver bullion thread onto a single strip of cotton 1 6/8 inches wide. The bullion are showing a great untouched age toning. The earliest I believe this pair can be is the mid 1930’s when GEMSCO Inc. when that company filed in New York State as a domestic business corporation.
The cellophane wrapper is partially open at edges, and still has the GEMSCO blue and gold label, along with another company tag.
35mm wing span on the embroidered wing span.
Fine – excellent.
