Only 200 Belts Produced For Trial Purposes.
This belt was made for trial purposes for use with the US Krag Rifle and Carbine utilizing the Parkhurst clip. The belt is a Mills tan looped cartridge belt, with loops removed and special pockets made to accommodate the clips which were sewn and riveted in place. The pocket are made of a lighter tan than on the earlier Mills belt. The flaps are held down with glove snaps.
The condition is fine with little wear, just some light storage soiling.
An extremely rare belt. The example used in the reference for US Army belts and plates by Stephen Dorsey, did not find a complete belt for photographing.
A fabulous transitional style belt, moving from loops to pockets holding multiple round magazines.
