The condition is very good, being a tight copy with not a great deal of handling. Leather boards have a marbled effect and generally are very good; back cover separated for 4″ up from bottom, but in a state where minor repair is needed. Some roughness on upper and lower spine, wear on corners and some along edges. Flyleaves, frontispiece, title page have a small water stain on upper pages (diminishing continually until page 40), a bit more foxing than the pages within, which becomes light overall.
The title page covered the contents quite nicely. A excellent and early reference.
