Veteran’s Badge- Initialed & Dated 1898.

This date of course is for the Spanish American War, and the only corps badge that comes close to this is the 12th Corps. The ends of the cross were initially designed to be shaped in rounded ball shaped ends, this has the one rounded end with flat cornered sides. It is most likely a veteran’s piece with the monogram “ML and the date 1898 on the reverse.
