The Victory Bomb-Shell, “You asked for this at Pearl Harbor.
This is a tube shaped homefront mailer to GI’s overseas. The shape is that of a bomb, cardboard painted in OD and Silver. The tube is covered in facsimile sentiments to and about Japanese leaders, etc making me think that this was produced very late in the war, and that Victory of Europe had already taken place, or there were two models, another for the ETO troops. Either way, a scarce item.
This contain held fruit, and the label on this one indicates Pineapple Apricot. Made my the Liberty Fig & Date Co., Chicago. The label is missing some printing.
Some wear to top section, obviously an item that was not intended to last this long.
