A Saks Fifth Avenue Hat Owned by a Member of the National Press Club
Here is a hat that I just love; the stiffener has weakened over the use during the war with the tan cover just flopping about at will; that great “its been there” look! This hat has a nice executed silver and gold hat insignia with along with the bullion on the visor has toned equally overall, just slightly adding to the character.
The hat is made by Saks Fifth Avenue, New York, and bears the clipped membership card to fit into the ownership slot of “Mr.” C. E. Rogers, Jr. (this may be a pre-war card). The sweatband shows use ,but all intact and in fine condition.
No info on Rogers. No size label but around a 6 3/4-7/8.
