This painting of part of a German POW camp was done by an American soldier from the 26th (Yankee) Infantry Division.

Painted on paper, with limited color, as these material were usually scarce to prisoners, it scene is of a guard tower, barracks in the background, and barbed wire in the fore.

A “YD” patch is superimposed over the brief title, “Prison – Camp 1945  Klein Munchen.”  (Klein Munchen in english is Small (or similar) Munich.

There was no identification for the artist; it came from a group of misc. WWII paper.

Overall; 11×13 approx.

Professionally framed and ready to hang up.

Condition is excellent.
