Cabinet Photo of a Hunting Party – Eastern Dudes with an array of weaponry Circa late No1870s-80s. An interesting image of hunters riding on an ox cart (cow or de-horned ox) brandishing an array of arms and the day’s game displayed for the camera. This appears to me as a group of Eastern dudes, or just dudes, wearing clothing that was usually not worn by their westerner counterparts.  The hats they wear are however, about as western as you can get, for example, Buffalo Bill, Yellowstone Kelly, and many other western scouts, and plainsmen.

Their arms include military rifled musket, earlier fowling piece, and other unidentified (as of yet) rifles, possibly shotguns. There is no history with this image, nor photographer information.

Clean and clear image.  Was in an old beat-up frame, and waterstains on the back cardboard left some staining to the back of the image, not at all affecting it.    Size 6 3/4 x 8.5 inches image, overall 10 x 12 inches.
