Civil War Fine Quality Double Border Staff Captain’s Shoulder Straps

Civil War Fine Quality Double Border Staff Captain’s Shoulder Straps. A non regulation sized pair of shoulder straps, made of fine gilt bullion work on black velvet ground, with gilt wire accent borders.  The straps are made on a base of black wool felt.  These measure 3 1/4 inches, overall 3 3/4 inches. The backsides of the wool felt have fallen victim to moths. Some toning to the gilt, otherwise a nice look set of straps.
