Description
Blue Staffordshire Plate- The Boston Massacre- Circa 1900, made by Royal Staffordshire/ Wilkinson, England. The scene of the massacre occurred on March 4, 1770 in front of the State House.
The Boston Massacre was between patriot colonists and British soldiers, that left five colonists dead and six more wounded. This, and other contested events, would eventually lead up to the American Revolution. The scene depicted here was taken from the painting by Alonzo Chappel.
There are no chips or any significant wear. Only some age cracks are visible on the reverse.
Excellent condition.
