CDV – Brevet Brigadier General Robert Corson Cox.
Full standing view as colonel of the 206th PA. Infantry. He was brevetted brigadier general of volunteers, April 2, 1865, for gallant and meritorious service at Forts Stedman, and Sedgwick, Va. Cox served a year in North Carolina as a major in the 171st PA Infantry, before taking command of the 207th Pa. “While in front of Petersburg, the regiment present General Cox with a horse and complete outfit, valued at $550, as a token of their appreciation of his soldierly qualities and the warm place he had in their affections.” (Obit of Gen. Cox).
