Description
Military Uniform Plate – 7th Regiment National Guard Staff Officers.
Similar to another listed, except this is mounted on board. This fine chromolitho plate shows all the uniform worn by the 7th Regiment, with all the individuals named below the illustration. Although this is not dated, it must be from the late 1850s as a mounted officer in the background is wearing an 1858 style forage cap.
The color is great, and most suitable for framing or simply for reference as is.
10 x 11 inches. The print mounted on artist board (about 1/16th inch).
Published by Otto Boetticher, Broadway, New York City.
Very good condition with some chipping along edges, clouds showing some aging to color -not staining,
Mike McAfee Collection.
