General Randolph B. Marcy, Graduate USMA Class of 1832. Veteran of Black Hawk, Mexican, Utah Expedition against the Mormans”, and Civil Wars. Best known as an army officer out west writing the book, Prairie Traveler, an important work that was an indispensable guide book for thousands of pioneers going west, which was published by the Government in 1859.
