This identified pamphlet issued to troops if they were to be captured was printed in May of 1944, by the GPO, Washington, D.C. It has 19 pages with sepia illustrations. Small pocket sized edition. This is the first of these we have had, and would have thought it to be more common.
Great illustrations subliminally suggesting the avoidance of capture. With the use of Germans I am making a leap here that this was not issued to Pacific troops?
Identified to Pvt. James Pitlala, Co.A. 3rd Medical Bn., 3rd Infantry Division. Could be a nice history on this G.I.
Very good.
