Tintype of a Federal Officer Armed with sword – Tinted 6th Plate. This infantry officer in full standing position, holds his foot officer’s sword at the front; he is wearing a Hardee hat and the usual pattern uniform for this grade of infantry officer.

Gilt embellishing on insignia, buttons, belt buckle, and brass sword parts.   Not identified.

Very good plus condition with a light bend in image (that would not be noticed for photo reproduction).  Full leatherette case which is broken at hinge. Geometric patterns with wear to top surfaces. Any blemishing to the image surface is reflexion issues; I never took the image out of the mat and glass to clean, as that will improve image.
