Civil War issue plate and mucket

Civil War issue plate and mucket.  No history with either of these, but are original Civil War items that Union soldiers used. The tin plate measures approximately 9.5 inches diameter, and is marked with a green painted cross, no doubt a personal property mark by a soldier with his mess. The mucket has attached the original tin loop handle. The cup is made of heavy tinned iron with bails and handle held by iron rivets. This one shows some good use, as it would have been used to heat up food, and or coffee near or on hot coals of a fire. 4 x 4 inches.
