The small lot of marksman badges consist of three pieces; Sharpshooter Shooting Badge with 1913 Re-qualification bar, Expert Rifleman Badge and another re-qualification bar for 1914, which this unnamed soldier never placed on the badge.. The pieces are not marked on the back and all three have varying wear, scuffing and patina. Probably made at Rock Island Arsenal.
The Sharpshooter Badge has an open catch and the pin moves to a 90° angle with ease. The Expert Rifleman badge has an open catch, the pin moves freely to an approx. 135° angle.
Sharpshooter badge measures approx. 2 1/8″ x 1 13/16″; Expert Rifleman badge measures approx. 1 9/16″ x 2″; 1914 bar measures approx. 1″ x 3/16″
The box is un-military related, just a convenient handy container.
