Description

Benjamin B. Wilson, enlisted and mustered into Co. K, in 1861 in the 65th (U.S. Chasseurs) Volunteers as 1st Sergeant. He was from Tiffin, Ohio.  He deserted on July 30, 1862 from the hospital at New Haven, Ct. He later returned to the regiment and was reduced in the ranks. Mike McAfee had originally identified this image to another found in a Sotheby’s  Auction from April 18, 1996 (lot 100).
